Air Products in Vietnam

Air Products has not established a local presence in Vietnam. VI NA Industrial Gases, the exclusive authorized distributor of Air Products distributes Air Products products and services in the Vietnamese market. 

Petrochemical Refining and Oil & Gas Processing

Air Products is a leading strategic partner of TECHNIP Group in the petrochemical refining and oil & gas processing sector, participating in projects worldwide. The company specializes in manufacturing and supplying Hydrogen and Nitrogen production systems and specialty gases, including carrier and calibration gases used in laboratories for oil and gas extraction and petrochemical refineries globally.

In Vietnam, Air Products has collaborated with Technip on two major projects as the general contractor: one oil refinery and one fertilizer plant. In these projects, Air Products supplied Nitrogen/Hydrogen production systems and specialty gases for laboratory analysis. Additionally, Air Products supplied a Nitrogen and specialty gas production system for another fertilizer plant project through contractor Wuhuan. Beyond these projects, Air Products, through VI NA Industrial Gases has provided products to numerous clients, including companies within PetroVietnam, Vietsovpetro, and various multinational oil and gas firms.

Environmental Sector

Air Products also serves clients in the environmental sector by providing calibration gases for Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) used in steel mills, thermal power plants, cement factories, chemical fertilizer factories, glass factories, and motorbike and automobile manufacturers. Air Products manufactures a wide range of pure gases, mixed gases, and calibration gases with complex mixtures containing up to 30–40 components at ppm and ppb levels.

Experimental Analysis and Gas Chromatography (GC)

In the field of experimental analysis and GC, Air Products is a global strategic partner of AGILENT TECHNOLOGIES (USA). Agilent produces GC machines, and Air Products supplies carrier gases for use with Agilent’s GC machines. With years of collaborative experience, Air Products and Agilent have co-published a special guide offering valuable information on gas use for GC machines, covering topics such as cylinder safety, carrier gas selection, gas purity, and cylinder issues.

High-Tech Medical Sector:

In the high-tech medical field, Air Products is the leading supplier of liquid helium for MRI machine manufacturers, including GE (USA), Philips (Netherlands), Siemens (Germany), Hitachi (Japan), and Toshiba (Japan). Air Products’ liquid helium is widely popular and used worldwide. In Vietnam, VI NA Industrial Gases is proud to be the exclusive authorized distributor of Air Products, supplying liquid helium for MRI installation projects.
